‘Fore real’ – there are some fine London mini golf courses, with new crazy golf courses opening up all the time in the capital.
Mini golf in London is also better than ‘proper’ golf as you don’t have all the expensive joining fees or have to wear tartan golfing slacks – better still, most of these London mini golf places have bars meaning this is the only time you are allowed to ‘drink and drive’.
The London mini golf theming is excellent too from a course with miniature London landmarks like Tower Bridge through to a roof-top mini golf course in east London. Plus there are several pitch-and-putt in the park style operations to perfect your swing.

1. Plonk Borough Market Crazy Golf
We start our ‘best London mini golf’ guide with perhaps the most colourful crazy golf course in London – Plonk Borough Market. Better yet, Plonk Borough Market features some of London’s best loved landmarks in miniature form as holes and a fully loaded bar.
This superb subterranean 9-hole course is just a short walk (shot even) from Borough Market and Southwark Cathedral, making good use of the railway arches beneath London Bridge and Borough High Street.
The Plonk Golf peeps have really gone to (London) town with this course, a neon nirvana of some of the capital’s most famous spots like Thames Barrier, HMS Belfast (one of the trickiest holes) and the London Eye. We absolutely loved playing this crazy golf course.
The attention to detail at Plonk Borough Market is superb and the illustrations and designs make this London’s best looking urban golf-course – and remember, the loser buys the drinks at the end!
Plonk Golf Borough Market is also open until 11pm every night meaning this is one of the few places where you can play crazy golf in central London until late at night. You could go for a beer beforehand in one of the Borough Market pubs.

2. Birdies Battersea
A little ‘Birdie’ recently told us about this nice, new (ish) mini golf course in Battersea. Cracking crazy golf is now available at Circus West Village in Battersea courtesy of Birdies.
With bright lights and a neon backdrop as standard and a 9 hole course, this is a great way to combine a little sporting action with a cheeky craft beer or bite to eat – particularly with some of their midweek specials like a game of golf, burger and fries for £25.
There are oodles of eating out and drinking options located next to Birdies Battersea so you could easily make a day of it – very much our cup of ‘tee’.

3. Battersea Putt in the Park
Fancy some mini golf in London in the open air? Battersea Putt in the Park has you covered.
One of five Putt in the Park locations (they have four London mini golf locations and one in Colchester), Battersea Putt in the Park’s course has 12 holes (par 30 in total so no slacking on the back four!).
Benefitting from the lush green setting and surrounded by tall trees (plus all the aerial apparatus from nearby Go Ape adventures), this has to be one of the greenest mini golf courses in London.
Battersea Putt in the Park is a fun Battersea day out (and a great first date in London idea). Afterwards, you can enjoy freshly cooked pizza or brunch from the on-site cafe.

4. Swingers Crazy Golf – West End
We’d heard before there were quite a few ‘Swingers’ in London’s West End but we didn’t quite realise they were now talking about a cool new crazy golf course.
Located in the former BHS store in Oxford Circus right in the heart of London, Swingers West End is a 9 hole mini golf course. Fun holes and obstacles include a helter skelter and big wheel with beach huts to enjoy – this London golf course is certainly full of amusement(s).

Prices start from £12 per person for off-peak times (Monday to Wednesday before 5pm) and £15 per person at all other times.
As well as just playing mini golf, there are lots of other food and drink packages available at Swingers Crazy Golf including the Twin set which is a round of crazy golf and 2 drinks for £29.50 per person, or The Competitive Set which is a round of golf, 2 drinks, street food and a dessert for £49.50.

5. Plonk Crazy Golf Camden
Camden in North London has always been one of the most colourful places in London with its sublime street art, punk counterculture and an array of market stalls selling all manner of cool items.
It seems appropriate then Plonk Crazy Golf have opened a brightly coloured neon soaked UV mini golf course in Camden.
Nestled away in the inner sanctum of Camden Stables Market, this 9 hole indoor crazy golf course in Camden takes you underwater so you can play mini golf under the sea – with the added effect of the Ultra Violet lights (be careful if you are wearing black!), this makes for some of the coolest crazy golf in London.
From seahorses to whales, octopuses to sea creatures, this is one helluva fishy mini golf course. You can also grab a beer before or after the aquatic crazy golf action from the Plonk Bottle Bar (or try one of these Camden pubs and bars).

6. Crazy Putt Greenwich Peninsula
Billed as an 18 hole adventure golf course in Greenwich and in the shadow of the O2 Greenwich, Crazy Putt Greenwich Peninsula is an outdoor London mini golf course with some cracking views of the Docklands – the crazy golf ain’t bad either!
Aimed at all ages and golfing fun for all the family, some of the tricker elements of Crazy Putt Greenwich Peninsula mini golf putting course include a number of bridges and rafts plus a pulley system on one hole – there goes your chance of a bogey!

7. Puttshack White City
After a big day of shopping at Westfield White City in Shepherd’s Bush, why not ditch the afternoon tea for a tee-off instead.
One of the most modern crazy golf courses in London, this feels like a mini golf mash-up where ‘God’s Own Junkyard’ meets Fair Game. With cool crazy golf holes that give off pinball machine and retro arcade vibes, this is one good looking mini golf course in west London.
As well as crazy golf, Puttshack White City also has an extensive food menu that includes diner style fare such as mac and cheese croquettes, burgers galore, sourdough pizzas and superfood salads.
Late night mini golf in London is also available courtesy of Puttshack White City as they stay open until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights, which means you can have a round of golf then dash off to catch the last Tube at nearby White City station – you’re welcome!

8. Plonk Crazy Golf Shoreditch
Shoreditch has always been one of the more edgy east London neighbourhoods to visit, in large part due to the sublime Shoreditch Street art scene.
The current latest fad / trend in Shoreditch is crazy golf with not one but two mini golf courses in Shoreditch.
London crazy golf connoisseurs Plonk have opened their newest London mini golf course in Shoreditch with a few nice touches like a retro arcade, bottle bar and German hot dog shack.
Plonk Crazy Golf Shoreditch has 9 mini golf houses and goes where no London crazy golf course has gone before. Whereas Plonk Camden is an underwater theme and Plonk London Bridge is all about London attractions, Plonk Shoreditch goes up into the air with a skies and clouds theme – the best place to score an ‘Eagle’ we bet.

9. Junkyard Shoreditch
A ‘ramshackle’ London mini golf course but in a good way, Junkyard Shoreditch is a bright AF crazy golf course consisting of 9 holes with UV lights and all manner of neon niceness.
Better still, Junkyard Shoreditch boasts four different London crazy golf courses to choose from: Pablo (expect tropical terror), Gary (scrap metal galore), Dirk (an abandoned warehouse with retro tunes) and Bozo (a circus of fear – keep an eye out for the clowns).

10. Birdies Roof East Crazy Golf Stratford
How about a rooftop London crazy golf course with views of London?
Based at the Roof East roof garden, one of our favourite things to do in Stratford, this mini golf course on high is from Birdies, the peeps behind the Battersea crazy golf course.
East London’s newest rooftop bar sitting atop Stratford Shopping Centre, this wining and dining experience is reminiscent of Frank’s Cafe at Bold Tendencies in Peckham – it has lots of fun outdoor games like archery and shuffle-board, but Birdies Roof East crazy golf is the best of the bunch.
Birdies Roof East Crazy Golf is a pop-up mini golf course and has nine holes; it is usually only open during the weekends and bank holidays during the warmer summer months. Roof East also has a rooftop cinema and eclectic events schedule.

13. Pop Golf Wembley
Head to BoxPark Wembley for one of London’s newest mini golf courses where music is an essential ingredient – nine rounds of crazy golf plus a hip hop sound system makes for one fun afternoon. You can also drink as you sink the holes.

We love Gunnersbury Park near Chiswick – we rate it as one of the best free things to do in London. After a walk in the park, tee off at Putt in the Park Gunnersbury and enjoy its 15 golf holes or grab some drinks in the tea-house (the ‘16th’ hole).

17. Walthamstow Go Go Golf!
Of the more idiosyncratic (unique) min golf courses in London, Go Go Golf also happens to be the newest crazy golf course in London having opened in summer 2023.
This 9 hole indoor mini golf course in Walthamstow is a luminous land inspired by local Waltham Forest landmarks like Walthamstow Wetlands and Epping Forest (yep, we thought that was a bit random too).
We also noticed lots of neon so perhaps they were inspired by God’s Own Junkyard too, within walking distance of this mini north east London mini golf course?
Opened up as part of the new High Street Social food court and bar complex in 17 & Central shopping mall in 2023, Walthamstow’s only mini golf course is open daily.

19. Canary Wharf Mini Golf (Seasonal)
Please note this is a seasonal, free to play crazy golf course that is usually only open in the summer months – check the official Canary Wharf what’s on guide here.
Perhaps the most colorful free crazy golf course in London, Canary Wharf’s crazy golf course is 9 holes and located in Montgomery Square.
Designed by artists Craig & Karl, clubs and balls are also provided – if the mini golf is busy / full, there are equally colourful table tennis tables next door.

20. Lost Jungle London (Watford)
It’s a jungle out there! With two 18 hole golf courses wrapped into one fun filled crazy golf course, whilst we aren’t sure this is technically in London, they call themselves Lost Jungle London so we’ll just go with it (they have big golf clubs after all).
Billed as Europe’s ‘…largest adventure golf course’, you can choose from the Amazon themed mini golf course (like the jungle, not the shopping website) or a Congo themed mini golf course.
