Seoul airport bus fares in 2024
A one way bus from Incheon Airport costs 17,000 KRW per adult one way as of October 2024 (and 12,000 KRW for children) – you can pay with a T-Money card, cash or most credit and debit cards.
We’d recommend buying a T-Money card in advance or at the airport and topping it up. It is like a prepaid cash card that you can use on public transport or in convenience stores.

There is also a free Olive Young airport limousine bus that departs from Incheon to Myeondong at 8.45am and 5.40pm most days (not Thursdays) – you can book free tickets in advance with Klook here >
It has luggage space too but it is only worth it if your arrival flight roughly coincides with this shuttle, allowing enough time for immigration etc). This information is correct as of autumn 2024 and subject to change at any time.
Finally, another option is to use the bus station ticket machines at terminal 1 or 2 which accept cash and cards.

Seoul Airport Limousine bus operating hours / times
It depends on the actual bus route but usually, the first airport limousine buses to leave Incheon airport depart around 7.20am and run until about 10.30pm or 10.55pm depending on which terminal you are departing from.
Limousine buses from downtown Seoul to Incheon airport generally start from 4am and run until about 8pm, depending on whichever limousine bus service route your hotel is closest to.
The journey from the airport usually takes between 50 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes based on traffic and where you get dropped off.
Some airport limousine bus services run every 10 minutes or so including the popular 6001 route which covers Myeongdong.
Outside of these hours, there are some night bus services or the AREX train services that run daily from around 5am to 10.40pm approx.
The other option is a taxi. We found UBER much cheaper in Seoul than standard taxis and you can use your normal credit card / payment card from the UBER app.

Our experience on a Seoul Airport Limousine bus
As we usually stay near Myeongdong, Euljiro or Chungmuro Station, we find getting the airport limousine bus much more convenient as you can relax on the bus in comfy chairs after a long flight (and no one will mind if you have a little snooze).
The chairs recline and there is a USB charging point by each chair – the limousine buses have pairs of seats on the left hand side of the bus and individual seats on the right.
You can draw the curtains if it is too sunny plus the buses have air conditioning in summer and heaters in winter.
We regularly stay in the Stayrak Hotel as it has an airport limousine stop right outside plus is right next to Chungmuro Station which has great transport links. It is one subway stop away from Myeongdong (or a 15 minute walk) but the room rates are a lot better than Myeongdong hotels.

Luggage on the Seoul Airport Limousine Bus
Big bags can be stored underneath the bus – some drivers will get out and help you with the bags whilst others will leave you to it.
If you are getting the bus to the airport, there are usually luggage staff who will take your bags off for you.
If the luggage compartment beneath the bus is full or your bags are not too big, there is a small luggage rack at the front of the bus, and above the seats on the bus – it is big enough for backpacks and small cases but not big cases.

Official bus websites
Confusingly, there are actually two airport limousine bus companies operating in Seoul with very similar names but slightly different routes.

Other things to know
- There are no toilets onboard.
- Buses going back to the airport can fill up at peak times especially by the time they reach busy areas like Myeongdong; so leave plenty of time for your flight in case you have to wait for the next bus.
- All our experiences are based on using the 6001 airport shuttle to and from the Myeongdong area – other routes may slightly differ.
